Copyright policy

You must have the rights or other lawful basis needed for each use of material, including downloading, storage, streaming and seeding. A subscription or cached copy does not grant those rights.

We review copyright notices and disable access to identified material when a notice is substantiated. Restrictions apply to downloads, streaming, sharing and re-adding the same identified source.

A substantiated notice may restrict an identified transfer and its files across all affected accounts, including shared copies and seeding. We review the scope, request missing information where needed and provide a reason for our decision.

Accounts involved in repeated substantiated infringement may have transfers and file access restricted after review. Rejected or reversed notices are considered in that review; an unverified report does not automatically restrict an account.

Affected users receive decisions through Support and can request review or submit a counter-notice for a mistake or misidentification. Where the DMCA counter-notice procedure applies, a valid counter-notice is forwarded to the claimant and access is restored within the applicable 10–14 business day period unless qualifying court proceedings require continued restriction. Independent restrictions still apply.

Contact information is used to handle the notice and is available only to authorized staff. Counter-notice contact details are shared with the claimant as part of the dispute process.

Identify the work, the disputed material and information sufficient to locate it, your contact details, authority, signature and the required declarations. Do not knowingly submit false claims. Applicable legal duties remain in force for both users and the service.
